Join us for a meaningful Juneteenth program beginning at 10:00 AM, featuring special guest speaker Doug Jones. The hour-long program will honor the history and legacy of Juneteenth with reflections on freedom, justice, and the ongoing struggle for Civil Rights in Alabama and across the nation.
Following the program, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. enjoy live music, food, kids’ activities, and refreshments on the museum grounds.
The event is free and open to the public. The building has a limited seating capacity. The seating will be first come-first serve. There will be an overflow tent on the grounds showing the program.
We look forward to commemorating Juneteenth with you as we remember the past and continue our commitment to justice and equality.
